Our clinic program is the best way to learn all aspects of skating and fine-tune your stick skills. Our Hockey Prep and Learn to Play Hockey clinics have taught hundreds of young skaters the essential skills of skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. We also offer specialty clinics in power skating, defensive skills, goaltending, and other areas throughout the year.

Fall Hockey Clinics 2011

Learn to Skate Clinic
10 week program for $135
Introduction to skating on hockey skates for boys and girls with no previous skating experience. A hockey helmet with cage is required to participate. Elbow pads and knee pads are suggested. Rental skates are included for this clinic.

Learn to Play Hockey Clinic
10 week program for $280
All clinics will be broken down into 3 skill level groups: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Players will have the opportunity to advance to a higher skill level group based on the coach's evaluation of their improvement. Sessions will consist of 45 minutes of skill development followed by a 15 minute cross-ice game. A jersey is included with this clinic. Full hockey equipment is required. rental skates are available.

A Goalie learning his skills at a Hockey clinice here at the Ice House.Hockey Learn to Skate is an introduction to skating on hockey skates for boys and girls with little or no previous skating experience. A hockey helmet with cage is the only equipment required. Rental skates are included for this clinic only. Skaters are recommended to wear warm clothes, kneepads, and warm gloves. This clinic will work on the basics of skating stride, balance, and agility to give the skaters confidence on the ice.

Learn to Play Hockey is broken down into 3 skill level groups, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Players have the opportunity to advance to a higher skill level group, based on the coach’s evaluation of their improvement. Sessions will consist of 30 minutes of power skating & 30 minutes of stick skills. Full hockey equipment is required. Skaters will continue to work on their skating skills while gaining confidence in stick handling, passing, and shooting. This clinic is designed to prepare players for league play as well as a compliment to league play. We recommend that players continue to use the clinics to improve their skills after joining the youth league.

Specialty Clinics

At different points during the year the Hockey Office offers specialized clinics that focus on specific areas of the game and position specific clinics. Some of these offerings include Goalie Clinics, run by our goalie coaches Jon Tortarella and Carl Antifonario, Defensemen Clinics, Power Skating & Stick handling Clinics, and Travel Player Clinics, designed for the more advanced players. These clinics are designed to improve individual skills in a more intense setting and provide coaching in specific areas.
