Our clinic program is the best way to learn all aspects of skating and fine-tune your stick skills. Our Hockey Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey clinics have taught hundreds of young skaters the essential skills of skating, stick handling, passing, and shooting. We also offer specialty clinics in power skating, defensive skills, goal tending, and other areas throughout the year.

HOCKEY LEARN TO SKATE– 7 week program                    All Ages               $110

 Introduction to skating on hockey skates, for boys and girls with no previous skating experience. A hockey helmet with cage is required to participate. Elbow and knee pads are suggested. Rental skates are included for this clinic.

HOCKEY LEARN TO PLAY – 7 week program                       Ages 13 & Under               $200

All clinics will be broken down into 3 skill level groups, beginner, intermediate and advanced. Players will have the opportunity to advance to a higher skill level group based on the coach’s evaluation of their improvement. Sessions will consist of 45 minutes of skill development followed by a 15 minute cross-ice game. Full hockey equipment is required. Rental skates are available. (includes jersey)

2013 Summer Hockey Camp

Ice House is proud to present its 16^th Annual Summer Hockey Camp under the direct supervision of Ryan Gibbons.25 hours of ice time in one week makes this camp the ideal place for all hockey players to elevate their game in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Brian May, Jeff Auger, Mike Kim, Eric May, and Kyle Garlasco, all part of our Avalanche coaching staff, are back as our most dedicated lead instructors. Our Hockey Day Camp is recommended for players’ 5-13 years of age. Full hockey equipment is required for all on-ice programs.

Ice House and Powerade are proud to present the Powerade Power Play AAA Hockey Series.  The events will take place from April - June 2013 and will have 7 levels of competition over 8 weekends.  Unlike many other Spring Youth Hockey events these tournaments will take place over a 2 day span allowing minimal hotel expense and no missed days of school!  Ice House is dedicated to offering the best tournaments around with competitive levels, great schedules, giveaways, and economically minded.

The Ice House is proud to partner with the United States Hockey League (USHL) and the Long Island Gulls to present the USHL Atlantic Challenge September 6-8, 2013.  the event will bring 6 USHL Junior A teams to the East Coast to showcase the best Junior Hockey teams in the country.  Ice House will also host a youth tournament for the best bantam Major, Midget 16 AAA, Midget 18AAA, and Junior teams on the East Coast.

“On behalf of the North Jersey Avalanche and the Ice House, we are excited to be part of the USHL coming east for this event,” said Dan May, Director of Hockey Operations for the Avalanche and Ice House.  “This is an unprecedented opportunity for the entire Metropolitan area hockey community. I personally believe playing in the USHL is the best training for a young man who aspires to play Division 1 college hockey and these games will give people in this region a firsthand view of the USHL’s elite brand of hockey.”
